Hello Her Library Adventures' Readers! My name is Heather and I author the design blog, Gathering Spriggs. I am so honored to be here today to share with you my favorite Spring color palette. But half way through realized that most of you are now heading into Autumn as we in the US are finally moving out of a long winter and into the dawn of Spring. Well, these are both transitional seasons and I am so fond of all colors, I believe color is something that stays with you and moves in and out of seasons. So here is my cheers to greens and nurturing a color that makes me feel alive! (I especially love when it is paired with creamy neutrals for a somewhat more vintage feel).
Thanks for the opportunity to be here with you today!!
Today is my little blog's second birthday! I can't quite believe it has been two years since I began this blog as a record of my life starting out in a new town. Thank you so much for all your love and support over the last two years, I just love this wonderful blogging community and it is such a joy to be a part of. All of your gorgeous comments make my day and I always refer to all of you as my dear friends.
I'm off to Brisbane tomorrow to spend the Easter break with my family so I will be have a giveaway to celebrate when I get back next Tuesday.
Although I will be blogging whilst I'm away, I have a very special guest blogger popping by tomorrow. I'm just so excited! So be sure to pop over and make her feel at home. I'll leave the keys in the flower pot and the mismatched tea set out for you to stop by for a pot of tea.
What a lovely Sunday for some Flea Market Finds! Thanks so much to everyone who played along last week, it was the biggest to date. It was another wonderful week for finding treasures with everyone coming home with a fabulous stash. Just check out these lovely tea cups here and here, this sweet table cloth and this fab stash of goodies!
My week has been flat out and after spending the last 20 hours participating in Relay for Life, sadly I didn't have any time to check out the local oppies this week. So today I thought I might show you one of my very favourite things, not so much a find but a precious gift.
Of all my tea cups, this sweet Royal Doulton one is my very favourite. It belonged to my great grandmother and was given to me by my great Aunt. There is just something about the shape and pattern I adore. I always imagine it being the perfect tea party cup and saucer.
So what have you found this week. To play along just leave a comment and put your flea market blog post link (not just your blog link) in the MckLinky below so we can all check out your goodies. Remember you can play any time during the week! I'd also love to see some of your old finds or precious keepsakes.
This week I have once again jumped into my little time machine and my creative space has been transported to the late 1950's where the Greasers and Pink Ladies ruled the school..
This week my creative space has been full to the brim with 1950's goodness. I've been busy working in my other creative world this week. At work I have the fabulous role of Production Co-ordinator this year and I'm so excited that we are bringing the iconic film Grease to life on the stage. So far the cast has been finalised and the scripts distributed and now the fun begins.
This week the band rehearsals have begun and my search for a 'real' Greased Lightning car continues. My script is already filled with post it notes and dog eared pages.
With too many fabulous things for my desk, I've turned to my trusty dining table to lay out potential costumes and my journal full of notes and inspiring film images.. It really is all about fabulous jackets and cute prom outfits. Costuming is one of my very favourite parts of my role. That and all the fab people I'm working with.
So with five months to go, the excitement is already building and I'll be sure to give you Grease updates and highlights over the coming weeks.
For more fabulous Creative Space pop over to our ever lovely hostess, Kirsty.
This week's My Place & Yours theme comes from the lovely Danimezz and is all about secrets.. the secret top drawer to be exact! Now I'm the first to admit most of my top drawers are nothing exciting and are often piled high with bits and pieces I can't find homes for. But the top drawer of my little vintage writing desk is a little bit special.
I just love stationery and here in this little drawer you will find my secret stash of writing paper, envelopes and stickers. There have been moment when I just open the drawer and smile at all the contents. So now you know the secrets of my top drawer, what's in yours?
To play along pop over to the very sweet Hello Owl and check out the all the top drawer goodness.

This week I was delighted to find a very sweet little typewriter to add to my collection. I've been searching for a blue typewriter for years and I was so delighted when I found this little one hiding at Sweet Lily yesterday.
My very sweet little Brother typewriter.. I also found another very cute Box Brownie to add to my collection. It is in fabulous condition and came complete with a sweet leather case.

This week I've been transported to the world of Jane Austen, with Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters getting ready for a delightful party..
My creative space this week, sprinkled with wild roses, vintage fabric, postcards and inspiring 19th century images..
As I sipped my tea, I dreamed of flowing dresses, dancing and dashing gentlemen..
Love letters and wedding dresses all inspired my new creations..
'Austen pendants'.. in the midst of creation. The falling leaves of my Autumn collection, these necklaces are inspired by 19th century party dresses, colour and romance. In the centre, the special key to a loved one's heart.
For more fabulous Creative Space pop over to our ever lovely hostess, Kirsty.
I found a lovely Forestbound parcel at the doorstep this afternoon.. one I just couldn't wait to open. The moment I saw this gorgeous carryall, I some how knew that Alice had created it just for me. Made from an old newspaper bag, I'm just in love with the gorgeous typography and all the stories it tells.
Just thought I would share just some of the fabulous finds from the Flea Market Finds flickr pool. These girls really know how to hunt you that perfect second hand treasure. Pop in here to play along with Flea Market Finds and here to see more lovely treasures and add some yourself.
My Place and Yours has a lovely new home over at Hello Owl and I'm so delighted to be playing along again. This week's pretty theme is Pink and it seems I didn't have to search too far to stumble upon some fairy floss sweetness around my little cottage.
You see, I love pink tea cups and the gorgeous pink roses that ramble through my garden. I also love this fabulous book with it's gorgeous pink cover. But as you can see my world is very pink at the moment because both my lounge room and bedroom have dusty pink walls! (Which I will finally be painting over the Easter holidays, but have grown to enjoy.)
So you see my world is indeed pretty in pink.
Pop over to Hello Owl to play along and see everyone's pink delights!
Today was just one of those days where I felt eight years old again, and there were adventures to be had.. Inspired by the ever delightful Color Me Katie I spent the afternoon rearranging my dining room using some dining chairs, fabric, tablecloths and my op shopped ladder into a wee cubby house to spend the afternoon pottering in.
My little second hand cubby house..
The essentials.. a blanket, books and tea
Paper heart decorations
Rainbow button wall art.. how it makes me smile, I would love to fill the entire wall.
The perfect place to spend the afternoon.
I hope your Sunday has been lovely indeed! Much Love xxx
Good morning! How exciting, Flea Market Finds Day is here again and I just can't wait to see what everyone has found this week.
Sorry I didn't get around to everyone until Thursday last week, my year 12 marking was all I saw for a good portion of the week. But when I did get to pop over and check everyone out... my how fabulous! A few very cute birds here and here, some very cute gloves and shoes and some fabulous board games here and here.
This week I spotted my find in the Salvo's window on Friday night on our way to dinner, so I hurried back Saturday morning and to my delight it was still there, a fabulous old metal trunk.
I've noticed when I op shop I often buy things in themes or colours, so after finding the fabulous blue trunk, I also grabbed this very sweet table cloth to match and two more teacups for my mismatched tea set. The lovely blue tea pot is from a previous expedition to Rose Harvest.
I hope your week has bought some lovely and perhaps unexpected delights. To play along just leave a comment and put your flea market blog post link (not just your blog link) in the MckLinky below so we can all check out your goodies. Remember you can play any time during the week!
PS. If you are over on Flickr, be sure to add all your fabulous photos to the Flea Market Finds flickr pool. I will be making up a mosaic of some of the fabulous finds from the pool tomorrow.
