Happy Weekend! I hope you're enjoying a lovely Saturday. I'm so glad it's the weekend and it's the first one in a over a month that I have totally free from work and University commitments. I spent most of the day catching up with my favourite girls at Fine and Sunny, sipping amazing hot chocolate and working on a crochet scarf. I couldn't think of a more delightful way to spend the day. Tomorrow Ben and I are off on a little road trip just across the border to one of my favourite antique shops for a little second hand adventure. I always love a Sunday drive and can't wait to listen to our favourite songs and talk about our super exciting months ahead. What are you up to this weekend? I'd love to hear about your Saturday adventures. If you are looking for a touch of inspiration.. why don't you?
Embrace the day and enjoy the weather.. even if it's raining. It's the perfect reason to carry a cute umbrella and perhaps even invest in a fabulous pair of hunter boots.
Start a sweet weekend crochet project.. How about a super cute pot holder for the kitchen.
Bake something seriously delightful like these vanilla bean blueberry cupcakes with heart macarons. So cute!
Get inspired by Elizabeth's gorgeous outfit and don't be afraid to mix up colours and patterns, wear a scarf in your hair, embrace fun tights and take a perfect brown slouchy bag everywhere you go.
Make the cute and simple brooch using a fun eraser! Just another great reason to visit the newsagency this weekend.
Feeling crafty.. Why not get stitching and find some wonderful inspiration from the queen of all things stitchy, Lucky Jackson.
Sing a silly song.. My grandfather used to sing this song to my sister and I when we were little and it is one of my favourite childhood memories. I think I need this gorgeous print for my living room wall.
Create your very own personal library. Don't have a huge collection of books or just out of space, write a list of all the books you'd love to have in your library one day.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Much Love

I work overnight in the US and I love your blog! Spent the time to organize my books by color like all those pretty pictures on pinterest and I love it...great ideas :)
ReplyDeleteNice thoughts about the rain, will definitely be aiming to keep that in mind ALL summer in the UK since it'll probably rain non-stop. also I actually find the oats & ivy song really creepy after Lynch used it in Twin Peaks! x
ReplyDeleteOh so neat, i saw a beautiful library on Grand Designs where the girl just put all the books facing pages out (spine in) & it was stunning. Love Posie
ReplyDeleteThat cake is so cute and I would love to have a library when I eventually buy a house.

I agree about the oats and ivy song - all i see is Laura Palmer's dad singing that song in Twin Peaks........very creepy
ReplyDeleteYikes! I better not watch Twin Peaks. It will most certainly ruin one of my favourite childhood memories. :)
DeleteI love reading your blog and thought I would share what I had been up to on the weekend.
