How gorgeous are these Vintage YSL shoes worn by the lovely Camilla from Rallph. I think I'm in love! It's hard to resist those gorgeous red bows and perfect rounded toes.. I think I'm now on a mission to find a pair myself.
As the seasons change it's time to check in the back of your wardrobe and go in search for those shoes you loved to wear twelve months ago. But what happens when you dust them off and they don't look quite as cute as you remembered last season..a few scuff marks, a little worse for wear. Never fear, there is no need to go buying a new pair, just give your favourite shoes a little makeover. Here are my favourite DIYs for making your shoes sensational again.
I know, I know.. The autumn leaves are falling around my feet and I should be dreaming about oxford heels and vintage boots, but I just can't resist these gorgeous Spring time hues from Modcloth. My favourite pair have to be the mint green flats.. the colour, the cut outs and a love heart button, perfection!
So it's not hard to tell I love shoes! Now don't get me wrong, other accessories are lovely too, but a pretty pair of shoes wins my heart every time. When I discovered these gorgeous new Seychelles preppy heels and delightful sandals.. it was love at first sight! And when they come in such gorgeous colours, they are hard to resist!
Do you love shoes? What about handbags? Or perhaps hats are more of your thing?
Recently I have been wondering to myself, if there is such a thing as too many shoes? There wasn't according to Carrie Bradshaw. I'm certainly a shoe kind of girl. I will wear a different pair of shoes almost everyday of the week but will often use the same handbag all season. And oh they are just so pretty and can complete any outfit. Today I've spotted these gorgeous T-Bar Heels over at Ruche. I just love the beautiful rich hues and of course this girly style is one of my favourites. Perhaps I just need to invest in some shoe storage space.
I'd love to know, which do you prefer, shoes or handbags?
I just love a sweet pair of Oxfords and what could make them even more lovely.. When they are covered in glitter of course. Perfect for just about any occasion, especially dancing! You can find them over at Topshop and check out how the gorgeous Alix from The Cherry Blossom Girl styled them over here.
So on my shopping adventures today, what did I buy? Shoes of course! I just couldn't leave Dotti without these very sweet mustard peep toe flats. I've been dreaming about mustard shoes for so long, now I can't wait to wear them to work on Monday. I also had a very successful thrifting outing and can't wait to share my finds tomorrow. I hope you had a wonderful day!
After a little bit of searching I found some wonderfully comfortable boots to take to NYC. I discovered these vintage Enzo Angiolini boots in the fabulous shop, Vintage Sole on Brunswick Street, Melbourne. There were so many wonderful pairs to choose from, but I just loved the laces and beautiful soft worn leather. Now I'm almost ready to hit the streets, just need a few more pairs of lovely tights.
What could be more lovely than a pair of perfectly coloured flats.. why a pair of perfectly coloured flats adorned with adorable trinkets, of course. Anthropologie have certainly delivered with gorgeous flats this month. They are all just so sweet, I'd just love a pair in every colour! Check out all the AMAZING shoes in the AugustAnthropologie catalogue, they really are works of art.
Oh I love polka dots, I really do! Next to stripes they are just the most lovely way to add a bit of fun to an outfit. So of course I just adore this gorgeous little J.Crew ballet flats. I couldn't help but want to dance down supermarket isles in these perfect polka dots!
Especially when those green shoes happen to have gorgeous heels and perfect black stripes. Oh and did I mention they were Prada. A bold choice for any outfit, but for some reason I just adore them! These are definitely on my birthday wish list!
Oh my! I am just in love with these super sweet foxy moccasins, the latest collaboration from Red Velvet's Elsie and Katie from Darlingtonia. They are just perfect for chilly winter nights like tonight! These little foxes have certainly made my day. Pop over to Red Velvet to check out the whole range!
Alix from The Cherry Blossom Girl always wears these most fabulous shoes and there is just something about these 'pirate' boots that just makes me dream of sailing the high seas. I wear boots almost everyday this time of year and this gorgeous vintage Vivienne Westwood design would be so perfect in my winter wardrobe. Check out Alix's whole pirate inspired photo shoot here and if you happen to see a pair like this in your travels, I would love to know!
How wonderfully quirky are these shoes! They really do have all the most wonderful elements that make shoes wonderful pieces of art. Love the colour, the fabric choices and of course the fabulous kitty on the front. And just look closely at the heel, yes that looks to me like the white rabbit!
If you like your shoes a little crazy, you must check out Irregular Choice. It's a bit like a shoe candy store, fun, colourful and a little addictive!
As I was browsing the lovely pages of Modcloth this evening I stumbled upon this beautiful pair of little red shoes. I stopped, stared, checked a photo in my childhood album and realised.. when I was five I had a pair just the same.
Perfectly Dorothy and suitable for all adventures, these ruby reds have just made my day, because in my world, there almost nothing more fun than wearing red shoes.
There is so much to love about the new BHLDN site, every click brings a sigh, a gasp and a link shared between my sister and I. The dresses are breathtaking, the flowers and feathers so sweet but my attention, as always, fell upon this amazing suitcase of shoes. Thank goodness they haven't created a buy all button or I might be in trouble.
Do yourself a favour, delight your senses.. go pop the kettle on and sit down with a lovely cup of tea and enjoy all that BHLDN has to offer.
